receiving the vaccine.
Answer
The cholera vaccine takes some time to build up immunity in the body, usually around two weeks. Therefore, people are not immediately protected from cholera after receiving the vaccine. Additionally, the vaccine is not 100% effective, so there is still a chance of contracting the disease even after vaccination.
