I chose to buy a sofa, a rug, and a lamp based on their visual appeal. The sofa had a modern design with clean lines and a neutral color palette, the rug had a bold pattern and vibrant colors, and the lamp had an interesting shape and texture. All three objects incorporated the six elements of design: line, shape, form, color, texture, and space.
