Whenever an innovation reveals its advantages and achieves a result after it has been implemented, it becomes part of society. Technology has enabled man to develop some simple tools, like the wheel or the steam engine, as well as more modern devices like the computer that, in the, 1980s, it marked the beginning of information technology. Over the years, technology has revolutionized our world by creating amazing tools and resources, and putting useful information at our fingertips. Thanks to the discovery of many functional devices, our lives have become faster, easier and more fun. Continuous advances have led to the appearance of numerous new methods. of electronic communication, such as voicemails, emails, websites, video con-Terencing and social networking. These means have helped us to eliminate time and distance as obstacles to effective communication. This is beneficial not only to our personal relationships, but also to education and business. The future of technology is even more interesting than what is happening right now. Driverless cars and robots working in factories or helping in our homes already exist. Our houses and lifestyles have also been affected by modern technology. The majority of the items that we have in our homes today are automated, and this makes our life much easier, more organized and safer. Technology has o also expanded access to education thanks to online learning opportunities and there are huge amounts of informa-ton (books, images, videos, audio files) available through the internet and that will enable anyone to improve their
knowledge. Modern transportation technology has made it easier for individuals to travel long distances. Since transport plays an important role in our lives, technology has constantly been applied to making it more efficient and quicker.
Travelling is also made easier by online services and information shared by tourists (e.g. Tripadvisor).
The world seems to have changed a lot since the first inventions, and we cannot imagine life without technology. But the evolution of modern technology has disadvantages too and using it may also pose several risks.
