Mozart and Beethoven were both highly respected composers of the Classical and Romantic eras, respectively. During Mozart's lifetime, he was seen as a prodigy and was highly esteemed by the nobility and general public alike. Beethoven, on the other hand, was seen as a revolutionary and was respected by the public, but not as much by the nobility. During the Romantic era, the status of a musician changed significantly, as composers were seen as more than just entertainers, but as artists. Beethoven was seen as a leader of this movement, and his works were highly praised by the public. Mozart, however, was not as highly regarded during the Romantic era, as his works were seen as too traditional.
