It is a period of ambiguity and uncertainty, where the individual is in between two different states. An example of liminality is the transition from childhood to adulthood. During this time, the individual is no longer a child, but not yet an adult, and is in a state of limbo. Another example is the transition from single life to married life. During this time, the individual is no longer single, but not yet married, and is in a state of limbo. Finally, a third example is the transition from one job to another. During this time, the individual is no longer in the old job, but not yet in the new job, and is in a state of limbo.
