danger for students. However, I believe bicyces are a safe way to get to school in addition, biking is beneficial for student health and the
environment
Our town's streets can be busy in the morning. However, there are bicycle lanes painted onto the street for bikers to use. Poe is also on a
trail that leads to the southern part of town. No cars are allowed on this trail, though some students already use it to walk home. It is a safe trail. Of
course, all students should be required to wear heimets.
Cars and buses cause pollution. Bikes do not cause this problem. The more students that bike to school, the cleaner our air will be.
Riding a bike is good exercise. Students sit in a classroom all day. Then, they go home to sit down and do their homework, Riding a bike
gives them much needed exercise they may not get at all during the day.
