Question
The Greenhouse Effect.
Earth is wrapped in a blankst of gases that make up is atmosphere. When sunlight reaches the atmosphere, some of the heat radiation passes through. Some of the heat stays trapped in Earth's almosphere. This is the creenhouse effect. It some of the sun's heat did not stay trapped in the atmosphere. Earth would be too cold to support life.
The greenhouse effect warms the surface of Earth.
Scientists are concerned, however, that the activities of humans are causing too much heat to stay trapped.
These activities release gases such as
carbon dioxide, which cause more heat to be absorbed. This warming is causing changes in the climate. Climate change is causing problems, such as droughts, floods, difficulty growing crops, and melting polar ice caps.
Human activities are causing an increase in the greenhouse effect.
1. How do human activities increase the greenhouse effect? Answer.
Answer
Human activities increase the greenhouse effect by releasing gases such as carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, which trap more heat and cause the Earth's temperature to rise.
